Sustainable Woodstock is a Woodstock community organisation with 290 members that was established in 2008 as a Community Action Group (or CAG) and a part of the CAG Oxfordshire network.

We are volunteers and we aim to raise awareness of the climate emergency in our community and local businesses.

Our world is warming and taking personal action on climate change is essential if we are to influence policy makers and businesses. Using our voice as a consumer, a customer, a member of the electorate and an active citizen will make all our lives better and lead to changes on a grander scale.

The government are looking for groups and businesses to be creative in ensuring that the country reduces its carbon by 68% by 2030 (announced recently) and hope to be assisted by what are called "Locally determined contributions".

We can supply more information about our projects: especially managing the Community Woodland and Orchard and registering the town as a Plastic Free Community.
